FIRST STOP: FLORIDA AGRICULTURAL MUSEUM
Take the outdoor farm tour and visit lots of farm animals and enjoy hands on activities. Meet Sally the famous farm dog and Theo the tame turkey. Horseback riding is available by reservation. Please call 386-446-7630. The museum farm is a great place for a picnic lunch and a short hike around Hewitt's Sawmill that operated from 1770 to 1813.
Depart from St. Augustine on Highway US 1 and head south 17 miles. You will pass under I-95 and then continue south 1.5 miles then turn left onto Old Kings Road. 7900 Old Kings Road, Palm Coast, Florida 32137.
SECOND STOP: PRINCESS PLACE PRESERVE
A nature preserve on the shores Pellicer Creek with miles of hiking and driving trails through a beautiful maritime hammock. Visit the historic Princess Place Lodge and learn about the Princess who lived here. Then discover the active eagles nest or fish in the saltwater marsh and flats.
Depart from the Florida Agricultural Museum by heading East on Old Kings Road, two mile then turn left on Princess Place Road which lead directly to the park. Return to St. Augustine: Leave Princess Place and turn right on Old Kings Road, continue to Highway US 1, turn right and follow US 1 back to St, Augustine.
Scenic Return Drive: Leave Princess Place and turn right on Old Kings Road, continue to Highway US 1, turn left (south) onto Highway US 1 South to first traffic light, turn left (east) onto Palm Coast Parkway. Continue on Palm Coast Parkway over the toll bridge ($1.00) to the barrier island. Then take A1A North towards St. Augustine.
